چکیده
Abstract This study evaluated shear bond strength (SBS), adhesive remnant index (ARI) and fracture mode of chemically mechanically retained ceramic brackets bonded with different composite resins irradiated CO2 laser. The null hypothesis was that laser would have similar SBS values. Ninety human premolars were divided into four experimental groups according to the combination type resin (Transbond XT Z 250) bracket (Fascination Mystique), two control (n=15). In groups, at 10 W for 3 seconds before testing. Enamel surface ARI calculated after debonding under electron microscopy scanning. ANOVA Mann-Whitney test used statistical analysis. had lower values than non-irradiated (control) (p<0.05). (Mystique) higher (p<0.05) Z250 irradiation. highest ARI. Adhesive fractures most prevalent. rejected. decreased efficiently facilitated brackets.

PURPOSE The objective of the present study is to evaluate the effects of Er:YAG laser debonding of ceramic brackets on the bond strength and the amount of adhesive resin remnant. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty human mandibular incisors were randomly divided into two groups of 10 and polycrystalline ceramic brackets (Transcend series 6000, 3M Unitek, Monrovia, CA, USA) were bonded on enamel surf...

This study evaluated the effectiveness of carbon dioxide (CO2) laser combined or not with fluoride application on the surface microhardness of enamel adjacent to orthodontic brackets. Fifteen human molars were selected from which 30 enamel fragments measuring 4 mm2 were obtained. The fragments were embedded in PCV tubes with acrylic resin and prepared using water abrasive paper, felt disks and ...

AIM The aim of the study is to evaluate the immediate and delayed effects of diode laser on debonding of ceramic brackets. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 60 human extracted premolar teeth were randomly assigned to three different treatment groups. All teeth were bonded with adhesive precoated (APC) ceramic brackets (3M Unitek). A total of 20 teeth were debonded without lasing (group 1), 20 ...
متن کاملEffects of Diode Laser Debonding of Ceramic Brackets on Enamel Surface and Pulpal Temperature.
AIM Debonding of ceramic brackets due to their high bond strength and low fracture toughness is one of the most challenging complications of orthodontic clinicians. Application of lasers might be effective in the debonding of ceramic brackets as they reduce bond strength of resins and, therefore, can eliminate the risk of enamel damage. However, the thermal effects of laser radiation on dental ...
متن کاملPulpal Thermal Changes following Er-YAG Laser Debonding of Ceramic Brackets
Lasers are effective in debonding ceramic brackets. Unfortunately, while reducing the adhesive bond strength, lasers are also reported to increase pulpal temperature. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strengths and temperature increase levels after debonding ceramic brackets using an Er-YAG laser with or without water-cooling. Sixty polycrystalline upper premolar ceramic brac...
